This shelter is entirely made out of waste and is nicely integrated into the natural surroundings. The project changed the paradigm on building materials whilst building a comfortable shelter out of waste materials. Inspired by Henri Thoreau the artists Marieke Gunnewijk, Lance Schmale and Kevin Rooi researched ways of sustainable living and the life cycle of materials.

 

The project has been nominated for The Value of Waste jury award on the Energize festival in 2015.
