By applying theatre of the oppressed and constellations inhabitants from the earthquake area are translating their experiences into images. The earthquakes in Groningen are caused by pumping gas and affect the community on all sorts of levels.
The participatory methods we use are a great tool for exploring the different perspectives regarding the problems our society is facing. It opens a dialog on another level than spoken word normally does. Therefor it allows us to explore complex social issues and learn together as a community.

This project is a collaboration between Frank Elsdijk, Marieke Gunnewijk, Nathalie Beekman and Elise Siersema. The intervention is documented by Eleni Kamma.
For the project Elise Siersema and Marieke Gunnewijk made an artist book about the project which has been displayed during the exhibition ‘Parrhesia' in Art Space Sign and in 'Bevings' of gallery Pictura in Groningen, the Netherlands.
